1999: The most sophisticated costumes so far. Using the special fabric we purchased in Malaysia, Sabine got a high contrast gold and black costume. The masks are designed around original Venice base masks, using copper wire frames and paper plaster to create the forms. Although the costumes really look good, they were difficult to wear in narrow and crowded Venice. Still, the crowds parted before us when we walked down the alleys...
